Browsing through your old posts...really good music, particular the Morning Benders. That video almost brought a tear to my eye. I think I read you're in Highland Park? Good stuff, I was born near there and raised there.

Pandora doesn't offer a donation option, they are (were?) committed to running their company as a viable private company (semi-for profit?). They suggest a subscription instead. It's too bad they don't offer gift subscriptions as an option...

Also:
Use their referral links when buyin' tunes on Amazon or iTunes...

seems to me that the action to take is to NOT click on advertisements, NOT make donations and thus the website would be pulled down, and same for every other internet music station, that way, the big bad SoundExchange doesn't get this money. We the people make a stand and say "NO! You're not getting any more money. We'll do without, or we'll pirate more, but for a company that does very little for the artists to profit so much is rediculous."

Just another cog in the machine designing its own meltdown.

Thank god there was someone else, and I definitely agree with your reading of the change in their sound. I think it also has a lot to do with a changing some of the members of the band - they have both lost and gained heads since their previous album.

Also, Team Shi recorded HLLLYH (and released the digital version of the album), but I'm pretty sure that Moshi Moshi is producing/distributing the hard copy.

I definitely dug the Mae Shi more than Los Campesinos! LC sounds very similiar to their Arts and Craft sibling Broken Social Scene.

The Mae Shi seemed to have changed their sound to a more pop (and therefore more commercial) but it's still sincere and unique and intelligent.

Also, the Mae Shi was released off their own label, Team Shi.
